As we get closer to the midseason we will take a look at the battle for the top, the battle to avoid the relegation and some of the best matchups this week!

As good as it gets!

Last week was as good as it gets in the PL INT. The top three teams faced off against each other, which left the viewers with very entertaining football to watch. Each team got their fair share of wins. Revival won 3:1 against SimpleX, drew 1:1 to Horizon and then finished of the week with a 0:0 draw against Provocateurs. SimpleX on the other hand started the week off with a 1:3 defeat against Revival but then pulled through and finished the week with two victories (2:1 vs Unshackled & 2:1 vs Horizon). Horizon managed to draw against last years champions Revival but lost out to SimpleX. If we take a look at the standings after this exciting week, we can see that Revival took the lead with a one point gap to both Horizon and SimpleX. Hopefully this battle for the lead will stay this close until the last game of the season! 

Stefan scores the 1:1 in the game versus SimpleX, Revival went on to win 3:1.

Venom back in form?

Venom FC manage to win four games in their last two weeks. It didn’t look good for the veteran team in the beginning of the season. They started into the season with three losses to Revival, Horizon and Provocateurs. After another defeat against SimpleX they finally managed to win their first game of the season. The first win off the season was a 1:0 victory over Ragnarök FC. Fun fact, Venom didn’t manage to beat Ragnarök in both encounters last season. After their game versus Ragnarök they managed to win against Unshackled (2:0), Ukraine (default win) and Tsunami Poland (1:0). They will face off against Legacy and Lex Artis next week. With their good run of form they managed to climb from 11th to 7th.

Tight battle for top of division 2!

If we take a look at the current standings in the PL INT2 we can see that there is a pretty close battle for the lead going on right now. We have Magic Storm E-Sports, INFINITY and GRAVITY all on eight games and 21 points. In the top game this week Magic E-Sport and Gravity faced off and Magic E-Sport managed to win the game 3:1. Gravity managed to ruin Magics clean sheet in the last minute of the game. This battle for the top will get especially spicy on thursday as Magic E-Sport and Infinity face off for the first time this season! The game is scheduled for 14.11.2019 at 22:00 CET! Gravity’s goalkeeper only manages to deflect the ball towards Senkartan who has no problem scoring the goal.

Fusion versus Haitch!

I can’t recall that something like this ever happened in the PL INT (if it did, please correct me) because this is a rare fun fact. We present to you, Haitch, the only player that managed to draw 0:0 to the same team in the first half of the season. Haitch managed to draw 0:0 against Fusion with Venom and then after his switch to Legacy he managed to draw to Fusion again. He will be very pleased with the clean sheet while his teammate probably hoped for a victory. If you find interesting/funny facts like these please let us know! 

& Stefan heading for the golden boot again?

Stefan looks on course to winning the next top goalscorer award after winning the top goalscorer award for the third time last season. This season he has new competition with the french team Horizon joining the league. At the moment Stefan is tied for first with Horizons Noxis and behind them in third is Horizons Brainzz. Last years runner up, Doelpunten is currently struggling a bit in the 16th position. He is 13(!) scorer points behind the two leaders. This battle for the top goalscorer will be very interesting to follow, we will keep an eye on it!
